The Rukka Explore-R is a top-of-the-range AA-rated adventure jacket featuring a 3-layer Gore-Tex Pro laminated membrane, abrasion-resistant Cordura 1500D reinforcements, and D3O Air XTR protection.
The main body of the jacket is constructed from high-tech aramid fibre and Cordura textile, laminated with a 100% waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex Pro 3-layer membrane for total weather protection. Gore-Tex also extends to the ATS stretch collar and cuffs of the jacket, which you can insert inside your helmet and gloves to prevent water ingress through the neck and wrists (on dryer days, the collar can be concealed in a hidden pocket).
Stretch panels under the arms and on the back of the jacket provide a lot of freedom of movement, whilst the adjustable tabs on the arms, and waist belt allow you to customise your fit. Ventilation openings can be found throughout the jacket to allow cool air inside the jacket and to circulate your upper body, including vents at the back, chest, shoulders, sides and sleeves of the jacket.
In regards to protection, the Explore-R is equipped with Rukka’s patented CE level 2 D3O Air XTR protectors at the shoulders and elbows, as well as a level 1 D3O back protector and level 1 divided chest inserts, for phenomenally comfortable, impact protection.
Additionally, the jacket features 1500 denier Cordura reinforced fabric, overlayed at the shoulders and elbows for superior abrasion and tensile strength during slides.
The crotch strap and long connection zip allow you to combine the Explore-R with any accompanying Rukka trousers (including the Explore-R trousers) to form a one-piece suit. The jacket is equipped with a plethora of storage, including a large water-resistant pocket on the lower back, two exterior chest pockets, and two water-resistant lower pockets with zippers and snap fasteners.
